Corsair has introduced a new mechanical gaming keyboard that will be the new flagship keyboard: The K95 RGB Platinum.
The new Corsair K95 RGB Platinum uses anodized, brushed aircraft aluminum for durability. No savings are made on the switches, the usual Cherry MX key switches are used. You have the choice between Cherry MX RGB Speed switches with short path or Cherry MX RGB Brown switches with tactile feedback.
The mechanical keyboard offers user-specific key assignments and macros. There are also six dedicated macro keys with a special structure to make them easier to find.
There are also dedicated keys for media and volume control and a Windows key lock. The brightness of the RGB lighting can also be controlled directly on the keyboard. In addition to single-button lighting, Corsair has also installed a dedicated 19-zone lighting strip called LightEdge. The macros and lighting profiles can be used without external software because 8 MB onboard memory is available.
With the removable palm rest Corsair offers you the choice between a structured and a smooth surface. There is also a USB 2.0 port for your headset or similar.
The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum gaming keyboard will be available at the end of January. The EIA is at $199 an ounce and is likely to be traded at that price in Germany as well. In terms of colour we are initially only available in black, Gunmetal is initially only available in North America.
