Elgato is showing the new Key Light Air at the CES 2020 in Las Vegas. This brings some significant changes compared to the “normal” Key Light.
The Key Light Air is smaller than the Key Light and can be easily placed on a desk using the supplied stand. The Key Light still had to be screwed to the desk.
The functions are the same, so it is still supported by Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and the Elgato Stream Deck. The color temperature is still adjustable between 2900K and 7000K and the brightness reaches up to 1400 lumens.
The Key Light Air is also still compatible with 1/4-inch threads, so it can easily be screwed onto a tripod.
If price was the biggest obstacle that kept you from buying the Key Light, the Key Light Air may no longer be. The price is now 129,90 Euro, which is 70 Euro less than the Key Light. Of course this is still not cheap, but maybe it is cheap enough for you. It should still be available in the first quarter of 2020.
