With the recently presented Meshify S2, Fractal Design expands its Meshifiy series with a case for this extraordinary large case. With the Meshify S2, customers have the opportunity to build a system without significant hardware size limitations.
The Meshify S2 should offer sufficient space for various hardware components as well as for large-scale cooling solutions. In the generously dimensioned main chamber, for example, there are adaptable holders for equalizing tanks, pre-horse pump holders and a removable lid with filling opening for water cooling. The lid can also accommodate radiators up to 420 millimetres in size. Furthermore, the front of the housing offers space for 360 millimetre radiators. On the ground, they may measure a maximum of 280 millimetres.
Air coolers can also be accommodated. The Meshify S2 offers space for up to nine conventional fans; three 140 mm models are already pre-installed. Behind the mainboard tray are three holders for 3.5-inch HDDs and two holders for 2.5-inch SSDs. There is also a Nexus+ smart hub between the main and secondary chambers for fan control. Mainboards can be accommodated in the ITX, mini-ATX, ATX and EATX format factors, whereby the maximum width of 285 millimetres must be observed for EATX mainboards. The power supply must have the ATX form factor. The GPU may be up to 440 millimeters long, the CPU cooler a maximum of 185 millimeters high. Overall, the case measures 530 x 233 x 465 millimeters.
Fractal Design remains true to the familiar design of the Meshify series. The Meshify S2 is also equipped with the typical mesh front, which is not only used for optical reasons – it also optimizes the air circulation in the housing.
The front panel has an audio port, two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 3.1-C port. The housing is now available in four versions. The standard model costs around 148 euros. The three different colour versions with side windows made of tempered glass cost around 155 euros each.
