With the new 329P9H, MMD, brand license partner of Philips, presents a new monitor, which is aimed primarily at customers who want to use the device in a professional context – such as web designers, graphic designers or office workers.
In order to meet the high demands of the target group, MMD equips the screen with an extremely high-resolution display. The LCD panel used has a diagonal of 31.5 inches with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, thus achieving a 4K UHD resolution. In terms of connectivity, the device should also stand out clearly from competing products. It is equipped with a USB-C docking station which can supply power. Thanks to the docking station, many other cables can also be easily used – such as Ethernet cables or cables used to connect peripheral devices. Thanks to the station, different notebooks can also be connected to the screen in no time at all. On the one hand, data transfers can be carried out in fractions of a second. On the other hand, the notebook can be quickly recharged via the connection. In addition, the PC has a pop-up webcam that is suitable for “Windows Hello”.
The already mentioned extremely high screen resolution is especially important for designers. When working with CAD or 3D technologies, a grandiose resolution is indispensable – otherwise no high-quality work can be created. In addition, the screen convinces with a high viewing angle stability. When working in a team, it is ensured that everyone involved has a good view of the screen – even if he is standing on the sidelines. MMD also speaks of very good color reproduction and optimized brightness.
Ergonomic functions are also included: flicker-free technology and LowBlue mode are designed to ensure eye-friendly work, while SmartErgoBase ensures that the height and angle of the screen can be adapted to the needs of a wide range of users.
The monitor is equipped with a power sensor and a light sensor. While the power sensor uses an infrared signal to check whether the screen is actually being used, the light sensor determines the lighting conditions in the room. The determined data is used to automatically adjust the screen brightness: If the room is bright, the brightness of the screen can be reduced. If the user moves away from the screen, the brightness is also reduced. The aim is to save energy.
