New Acer Nitro 5 and Swift 3 Notebooks with Second-Generation Amd Ryzen Mobile Processors

At Computex Taipei 2019, Acer announces support for AMD Ryzen™ second generation mobile processors with Radeon™ Vega Graphics for its Nitro 5 and Swift 3 series. AMD’s new mobile processors deliver fast processing power, high efficiency and stunning images for streaming and gaming.

Nitro 5 with Ryzen™ for Next Level Gaming

The Nitro 5 with up to AMD Ryzen™ 7 3750H second generation processors and Radeon™ RX 560X graphics offers users exceptional performance for gaming and multimedia.1 On a 39.6 cm (15.6 inches) Full HD IPS panel, optionally with 144 Hz refresh rate1, with an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 80 percent, users can enjoy their favorite games and videos in great detail. Thanks to Gigabit Wi-Fi 5 with 2×2 MU MIMO technology, the Nitro 5 effortlessly streams the gameplay of intense battles and exciting races live to the community. A number of ports such as HDMI 2.0 or USB Type C 3.1 allow gamers to connect supporting peripherals.

The Nitro 5 has two fans, the Acer CoolBoost™ technology and several air outlets, so it keeps a cool head even during longer gaming sessions. Compared to auto mode, Acer CoolBoost™ increases fan speed by an average of 10 percent, lowering CPU and GPU temperatures by about 9 percent.

To optimize the online gameplay, the Acer Nitro 5 can use the Acer Network Optimizer, which keeps the data flow fast and stable. A specially configured, intuitive user interface helps gamers manage their bandwidth both in auto mode, which automatically categorizes and prioritizes network troubleshooting programs, and manually. It allows users to adjust priorities, change bandwidth for each application individually, and even completely block certain applications to achieve the optimal network experience.

Swift 3 with Ryzen for more productivity

The slim Acer Swift 3 can now also be equipped with up to AMD Ryzen™ 7 3700U second generation processors with Radeon™ Vega graphics and offers plenty of processing power and efficiency to perform everyday tasks at effortless speed. The optional dedicated Radeon™ 540X graphics card also handles more computing intensive tasks such as video editing and gaming.

The Swift 3 comes in an elegant aluminum design with a 14-inch (35.6 cm) Full HD IPS display with an ultra-thin frame that opens up to 180 degrees. It combines the latest technology, neat power and extensive connectivity, packed into a lightweight 1.452 kg and slim 17.95 mm chassis.
