Samsung: Galaxy A51 and A71 introduced

At a corporate event, Samsung introduced two new family members of the Galaxy A series. With the Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A71, the South Korean smartphone giant aims to reach a broad target group. At the same time, users of the two smartphones should by no means forgo features of the “big brothers” from the Galaxy family. According to the company’s own information, both popular innovations and a sophisticated user experience should be possible without any problems.

The highlights

Samsung has given the Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A71 various features. First and foremost, the long-lasting battery is definitely worth seeing. Furthermore, both smartphones have a powerful camera. Typical for Samsung, the display is once again the biggest plus point. Even at first glance, the almost borderless Super AMOLED Infinity-O display convinces with lifelike, bright colors.

A smartphone for everyone

The two new Galaxy models are said to offer a lot of performance for comparatively little money. Typically, the A series of the Galaxy family has always been designed that way. With the A51 and the A71, the primary aim is to offer an intelligent camera with extensive setting options and enduring performance at a fair price. This is what Mario Winter, Senior Director Marketing IT & Mobile Devices of Samsung Germany, said at the launch event.

Both smartphones will be available in four colours each.

The right all-round camera

The trend of multi-cameras is constantly increasing. This trend can also be observed with the Galaxy A51 and A71. Samsung is giving its two new models four cameras each. This is intended to ensure that the user can capture every moment perfectly. However, the models already differed greatly in terms of the camera. While the Galaxy A51 comes with a 48-megapixel camera, the A71 can even offer 64 megapixels.

According to Samsung, both smartphones should be able to take pictures that are both sharp and vivid, even in complicated lighting conditions. A macro camera enables close-ups that are designed to bring out every detail clearly. It remains to be seen whether the cameras can really keep up with those of the Galaxy S series. The videos of the two smartphones should also be convincing. Samsung does not shy away from the comparison with an action cam. The smooth videos without shaking should be possible thanks to the Super Steady mode.

Near borderless display

Samsung has always stood for breathtakingly good displays. With the Galaxy A51 and A71, the South Korean industry leader once again relies on proven technology. With the Super AMOLED Infinity-O displays, both smartphones are very convincing at first glance. The display sizes of 6.5 inches (Galaxy A51) and 6.7 inches (Galaxy A71) are based on consumers’ current favourite sizes.

Lasting battery

Both smartphones come with powerful batteries. While the Galaxy A51 offers 4000 mAh, the A71 even convinces with 4500 mAh. In both cases, a long service life can be assumed. Should the battery be unexpectedly empty, both smartphones offer a quick charge function. Thus, they are quickly ready for use again.

Availability and prices

From mid-January, both smartphones will be available in four colours each (white, black, pink and blue). While the RRP of the Galaxy A51 is 369 euros, Samsung estimates a RRP of 469 euros for the Galaxy A71.
