Streacom DA2: A Mini-ITX Case with Unique Flexibility

Streacom, a well-known manufacturer of high-quality HTPC products, is pleased to announce the availability of the Streacom DA2 SFF (Small Form Factor) package. The Mini-ITX housing offers an innovative interior concept. Instead of trays and brackets, sliding braces to which the hardware is attached are used instead. The 17.5-litre aluminium housing guarantees a high degree of flexibility in PC construction, enabling the installation of a fully-fledged gaming PC including 280 mm water cooling.

180 x 286 x 340 millimetres – that’s the size of the Streacom DA2. With a volume of 17.5 liters, it gets tight for hardware, but with its unique sliding struts, the Mini-ITX case offers maximum freedom in positioning the motherboard, graphics card, radiator and power supply. For example, the back can be rotated 180 degrees. It is also unusual that not only SFX but also ATX power supplies can be mounted in the Streacom DA2. Anyone who thinks that 17.5 liters of volume requires no drives is mistaken. The Streacom DA2 can be equipped with up to three 3.5″ or six 2.5″ drives.

The Streacom DA2 Mini-ITX Case at a Glance

  • Extremely compact dimensions (18 x 28.6 x 34 cm) with 17.5 liters volume
  • Outer shell made of high-quality anodised aluminium with brush-ground surface
  • Unique bracket concept for largely modular installation
  • Supports dual-slot gaming graphics cards up to 33 cm long
  • Graphics card installation without riser module possible
  • Records motherboards in Mini-ITX format (all AMD & Intel sockets)
  • Place for powerful ATX or SFX power supplies
  • 6x 2.5-inch media or 3x 3.5-inch media possible

Powerful gaming PCs are usually characterized by large heat sinks for the graphics card and processor. The Streacom DA2 easily accommodates these, because graphics cards up to 33 cm long and CPU coolers 145 mm high can be used. This means that almost any current high-end graphics card can be used in the compact housing. For processor cooling, hardcore gamers are more likely to resort to water cooling with 240- or 280-mm radiators, which offer even better cooling performance than air coolers. Fans from 40 to 180 mm in size can also be installed to support this. Dust is kept outside the housing by three dust filters.

Not only the inner values of the Streacom DA2 Mini-ITX case are special. Impeccably finished, anodised aluminium surrounds the steel base frame – optionally in black or silver. With a thickness of 2 millimetres and an elegant hairline finish, the case offers an unmistakable look. In order to support the modern design, the I/O panel in the front is kept very simple and contains beside the power button, which has a tiny LED, only a USB type C connector.

With the DA2, Streacom is going its own way and expanding the concept of an SFF package with a high degree of modularity. The spacious interior for the form factor allows the installation of powerful hardware and even a radiator. The Streamcon DA2 is the perfect case for modders and hobbyists.

The Streacom DA2 Mini-ITX case is now available in silver and black at the price of 219,90 Euro at Caseking and will be available from stock in a few days.
