After Gigaset introduced two smartphones for the masses last October with the
GS3 and the
GS4, a new edition for a special target group followed this February. With the GX290 Plus, Gigaset has revised the GX290, which is supposed to withstand particularly high loads and is thus aimed at outdoor and construction site users.
The changes compared to the one-and-a-half year old predecessor are quite minor; according to the spec sheet, only the memory expansion has been revised. As a result, the GX290 Plus comes with 4 GB of RAM instead of 3 GB, and the model’s internal storage grows from 32 to 64 GB. There are apparently no changes in other aspects like the SoC, the camera or the battery, and the IP68 certification has also been taken over from the GX290.
