Apple today unveiled the new iPad 7, an entry-level tablet designed to replace the previous 9.7-inch iPad 6. The new iPad 7 offers a larger 10.2-inch retina display. Keyboards and the Apple Pencil are also supported.
The iPad 7’s 10.2-inch retina display offers 3.5 million pixels for razor-sharp resolution. A keyboard can be connected via the Smart Connector to use the iPad as a laptop replacement.
The design of the new iPad has changed little. There’s still a home button and the edges are relatively large, not like the iPad Pro.
Apple hasn’t really upgraded the technology either. The iPad 7 is equipped with the Apple A10 Fusion Chip just like the iPad 6. New, however, is iPadOS, which is supposed to bring the multitasking functions of the iPad Pros to the entry-level tablet.
The iPad 7 will be available in many countries worldwide from 30 September. The WLAN version costs 329 US dollars, the LTE version 459 US dollars.
