AVerMedia has introduced a new external capture box, the Live Gamer BOLT (GC555), which is not only visually impressive with its integrated RGB lighting.
The Live Gamer BOLT is connected via Thunderbolt 3, which isn’t USB compatible, so an actual Thunderbolt 3 connection is required. The power supply is also done via this.
For the video signal, the capture box is equipped with two HDMI 2.0 connections as input and output. The signal should be passed through here almost latency-free, the preview latency is less than 50 milliseconds. There is also a 3.5 millimeter jack input for an additional audio signal.
High resolutions require a lot of computing power
Almost all current resolutions are supported. 2160p content can be passed and recorded at 60 FPS in HDR10. 1440p are possible in 144 FPS, 1080p even in 240 FPS. H.264 or H.265 is used as codec.
To support the maximum resolution, AVerMedia recommends a PC with at least Intel Core i5-6xxx or AMD Ryzen 3 and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060...
