At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) currently taking place in Barcelona, LG presented a smartphone that is aimed primarily at gamers. In combination with an optionally available cover, the smartphone receives a second display and thus becomes the Gameboy alternative.
The main display of the LG V50 ThinQ is 6.1-inch, the resolution is 3,120 x 1,440 pixels. The second display in the case is 6.2-inch and offers a resolution of 2,160 x 1080. The connection between the additional display and the smartphone is via pogo pins. As soon as the smartphone is plugged into the combination of protective cover and external display, it displays an icon in the primary display that can be used to activate the secondary display.
