With the 4K X and the 4K Pro, Elgato is launching two new capture devices on the market that feature a number of technical innovations compared to their predecessors. In addition to HDMI 2.1 and support for up to 8K/60 HDR passthrough on the Pro model, the capture device is now also iPadOS-compatible. While the 4K Pro is an internal card for the PCIe slot, the cheaper Elgato 4K X is designed as an external capture device for connection via USB-C.
