Alienware Aurora sets among other things on GeForce RTX 3090

Alienware has released news about its popular Aurora gaming desktops. Features include the powerful GeForce RTX 3090, which will be available in the future. With the processor one has in addition the choice between Intel and AMD.

Popular gaming desktop

Alienware has always been broadly based. So the subsidiary of Dell not only has powerful portable gaming notebooks in its product range. In addition, the gaming experts will continue to focus on powerful desktop solutions in 2020. The Aurora is a very compact case, which has always made it very popular. Thus, the compact size not only allows an uncomplicated placement of the Aurora. It has also always been very popular among gamers because upgrades are easy to make.

Much is still unknown

Unfortunately, Alienware kept a low profile on the latest model of the Aurora. But the company did have some good news up its sleeve. Thus the coming Aurora will set on Nvidias GeForce RTX 3080 or even the still more powerful RTX 3090. Beside the new diagram map generation there is also information to the processor. Independent of the graphics card, you can choose either an Intel processor or an AMD Ryzen. In particular one should be able to choose between the Intel Core i9-10900KF and the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. These should be able to offer clock rates up to 5.3 GHz (10 cores) and 4.7 GHz (16 cores) respectively.

Until now, the Aurora offered a maximum of 64 GB of memory. Features also included a fast PCIe NVMe SSD for the gaming desktop. Further features were a water cooling of the CPU, as well as a power supply with the maximum power of 1,000 watts. Since these specs are still pretty “high-end”, Alienware probably won’t change much in this regard. What we don’t know yet is, if the GeForce RTX 3000 models in the Aurora will also come in a version with water cooling.

Price and availability

We do not yet know which upgrades will still be possible in the Aurora. Unfortunately, we also do not know much about the prices and the release. But Alienware has announced that the most important information will follow in the course of September. But what we know so far sounds very promising. Alienware seems to do everything right with their new Aurora. Here again a powerful gaming machine is probably on the agenda.
