Realme C21Y and C25Y launch with 5,000 mAh battery and triple camera in Europe

Realme has introduced two new entry-level smartphones, the C21Y and the C25Y, which both rely on an almost identical design and similar features. Both devices are also launched in Europe for a particularly low price, but the specs are still impressive.

Realme C21Y and C25Y

In many areas, the features of the Realme C21Y and C25Y are like two peas in a pod. Both smartphones rely on a Unisoc T610 ARM SoC with eight cores, which is made up of two ARM Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 processor cores.

It is supported by 4 GB of RAM and a maximum of 128 GB of system memory. In addition, the smartphones not only hold two SIM cards at the same time, but also have a third slot that accommodates a microSD card as a memory expansion.

Both smartphones also share a 5,000 mAh battery with 18-watt fast charging technology. In addition, there is a super energy-saving mode that reduces the energy consumption at 5 percent battery capacity to such an extent that the Realme C21Y and C25Y can still last for 59 hours in standby.

Regarding the display, Realme relies on a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a brightness of 400 nits. The manufacturer installs the fingerprint sensor on the back.

Realme C21Y and C25Y: Differences in the camera setup

The differences between the Realme C21Y and C25Y are mainly in the camera setup. Both devices have a front camera in a punch hole in common. The C21Y has a resolution of 5 megapixels, while the C25Y offers 8 megapixels.

There are differences in the main camera on the rear: The C21Y has to make do with a 13 MP sensor, while the C25Y has 50 megapixels. In addition, there are two 2 MP sensors for black and white and macro photos.
