Only last week, Apple had completely stopped the sale of all products in Turkey due to an enormous drop in the exchange rate of the Turkish lira. Now the manufacturer has restarted the sale of iPhone, iPad, MacBook and Co, significantly raising prices.
Apple Turkey: products available again
Via the Online Apple Store Turkey, products such as the iPhone 13 series, the current iPads, AppleWatches and much more could still be examined, but could no longer be added to the shopping cart.
The reason for this was the extreme drop in the price of the national currency, the Turkish lira, which had lost a whopping 45 percent of its value against the U.S. dollar since the beginning of the year. Since last weekend, Apple has resumed sales in Turkey, significantly increasing prices due to inflation.
The new prices for Apple products
The iPhone 13 will henceforth start at 14,999 Turkish liras, up from 11,999 TL previously. This is equivalent to a price of 1,074.82 euros as of now (compared to 838 euros previously). The 14-inch MacBook Pro, on the other hand, is now priced at 28,999 TL (2,078.05 euros) compared to 23,499 TL (1,683.75 euros) previously.
Apple had already made price adjustments in the past when the respective local currency fluctuated significantly in different countries.
