AOC AGON PRO AG274QS: WQHD monitor with 300 Hz starts in stores

AOC China already listed a new high-end gaming monitor at the end of February, but it became very quiet afterwards. As if out of nowhere, the new AOC AGON PRO AG274QS now reaches German retailers. A 27-inch IPS panel including WQHD resolution and a fast 300 Hz panel are on the credit side.

The AOC AGON PRO AG274QS in detail

The new AOC AGON PRO AG274QS marks the fastest gaming monitor yet in AOC’s pro model lineup, which was recently expanded to include the AG274QZM. In comparison, however, the refresh rate of the AG274QS turns out even faster.

The manufacturer also relies on an IPS panel based on MiniLED technology including rich contrasts and a WQHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels in the new model.

The matte panel also has a DisplayHDR 400 certification and a maximum brightness of 350 cd/m². NVIDIA G-SYNC Ultimate ensures that the monitor’s refresh rate is variably adjusted to the frame rates of a compatible GeForce graphics card.

Keyword frame rate: Because here the new AOC AGON PRO AG274QS steps on the gas pedal and comes up with a frame rate of up to 300 Hz. That’s another 60 Hz more than the manufacturer’s previous top model. Esport pros, for whom 240 Hz is not enough, should like this very much. The manufacturer specifies a gray-to-grey response time of one millisecond.

The design is also based on the other monitors of the AGON PRO series and once again relies on a massive stand and a black-red back. In terms of ergonomics, there is the option to tilt, rotate (pivot function), swivel and adjust the height of the display (up to 130 mm).  A VESA mount with 100 x 100 mm holes is also offered.

Two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, as well as a USB 3.0 hub with four Type-A ports, one 3.5 mm jack input and two 3.5 mm jack outputs are available. Two speakers with a power of 5 watts each are also installed.

Price and Availability

The AOC AGON PRO AG274QS is available in stores now. On Amazon, the gaming monitor is listed for 1,089.00 euros, but is not available. However, it looks different in Caseking’s online store, for example. Here, it is in stock and has a price of 1,099.00 Euros.
