With the AGON PRO AG344UXM, AOC already presented a new premium gaming monitor some time ago. Now it is also available on the market here. The screen stands out from the crowd primarily due to its enormous width: It is held in 21:9 format.
Technical Specifications
The monitor, which was first introduced in China a few months ago, not only has the unusually wide format to offer, but can also convince in other respects. For example, it is a mini-LED screen, which makes it possible to adjust the contrast ratio to the respective situation: the screen consists of mini-LEDs distributed over 1,152 zones, which can be adjusted individually.
A maximum brightness of 1,000 nits is supposed to be achieved. In this context, AOC states that the screen has a DisplayHDR-1000 certification – which includes an SDR brightness of at least 600 nits. Furthermore, the screen is supposed to score with its color accuracy. AOC claims a 99 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space as well as a hundred percent coverage of the sRGB color space.
The resolution of the 34-inch diagonal screen is 3,440 x 1,440 pixels. This sets it apart from the Agon monitor AGON PRO AG274QS , which was also recently launched on the market.
However, another aspect of the monitor is particularly noteworthy: it offers a refresh rate of a remarkable 170 Hz, which is supposed to enable a response time of one millisecond. In addition, there is Adaptive Sync to avoid tearing.
The equipment is rounded off by a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB-C and an HDMI 2.1 port. In addition, there is a USB hub with four ports, a KVM switch and stereo speakers that offer an output power of eight watts twice. Furthermore, a laptop can be supplied with power via the USB-C port.
Price and Availability
The monitor will be available in this country from July. The recommended retail price is 1,849 euros.
