Razer Naga V2 Pro: New MMO mouse with 19+1 buttons revealed

Razer adds a new model to its popular Naga MMO mouse series. The Razer Naga V2 Pro is also available as a cheaper HyperSpeed version, has three interchangeable side panels and 19+1 programmable buttons. The Razer HyperScroll Pro Wheel is also offered.

Razer Naga V2 Pro: The self-proclaimed MMO king is back

Razer has given us quite a few excellent gaming mice in 2022. Among them, most recently the Basilisk V3 Pro (our review) or the DeathAdder V3 Pro (our review). Now, they introduced a new edition of the “MMO king” with the Razer Naga V2 and Naga V2 HyperSpeed.

Released in 2009, the Naga set the foundation for MMO mice, new standards in functionality and control thanks to the multi-button side panel, and immediately became the world’s best-selling MMO mouse.

For the new edition, some exciting new features and improvements are making their way into the nager. The shape and feel of the gamer-loved Naga series is retained, while all the features important to MMO gamers are offered.

With 3 interchangeable side panels, 19+1 remappable buttons, 22 programmable controls, the new Razer HyperScroll Pro Wheel and Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, the MMO mouse is well equipped.

The extra-fast and precise Razer Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor is used as the sensor, while the buttons rely on 3rd generation Razer Optical Mouse Switches.

Mouse wheel with six modes

The Naga V2 Pro’s new Razer HyperScroll Pro Wheel offers nearly limitless customization options with smart settings to adjust scrolling and tactility.

A full six scroll wheel modes are available for you to choose from, including even a custom mode that you can customize freely. All modes, options and details can of course be customized in the Razer Synapse 3 software.

In addition to a standard mode for all common game genres, Distinct mode with a noticeable, distinctive grid for very precise inputs to prevent accidental weapon switching, for example, and Ultrafine mode for a maximum number of delicate scroll steps, for example to repeat actions or skills in the game, the Naga V2 Pro has two additional presets.

Among them, an adaptive scrolling mode that reduces resistance at higher scrolling speeds and a free scrolling mode that comes along without resistance. You can also freely customize the latter mode.

“Through Razer Synapse 3, users can adjust scroll resistance, the number of scroll steps, and the force curve between steps: From smooth to tactile scrolling with 8 to 96 steps – you can also customize how you want the grid to feel between each step,” the manufacturer said.

Wireless and fast

The Naga V2 Pro features Razer’s latest wireless technologies, both for connectivity and power. With Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, the Naga V2 Pro has a high-performance, low-latency connection for lag-free gaming, while adaptive frequency monitoring and switching allows for a reliable and fast connection even in environments with lots of interference.

Battery life is up to 150 hours with HyperSpeed Wireless or 300 hours with Bluetooth. The Naga V2 Pro can also be charged wirelessly, as it is compatible with the Razer Wireless Charging Puck and Razer Mouse Dock Pro. Wireless connectivity with other peripherals from the manufacturer is also possible.

Razer Naga V2 HyperSpeed

The Razer Naga V2 HyperSpeed comes with 20 programmable buttons, Razer HyperScroll technology, Razer Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor and 2nd generation Razer Mechanical Mouse Switches.

It runs on just one standard AA battery and comes with up to 400 hours of battery life via Bluetooth and 250 hours with USB receiver.
