ASUS notebooks at CES 2023

Among the new ASUS notebooks at CES 2023 are some exciting devices, including the world’s first mobile 3D OLED workstation in the form of the ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED. At the same time, the manufacturer also continues to focus on sustainability and focuses on product quality, functionality and durability and thus longer product life cycles.

To this end, the company uses sustainable materials in the manufacturing and packaging of its products and has actively used 1,500 tons of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic since 2017 and over 20,000 tons of recycled paper in 2022. In addition, more than 90 percent of ASUS notebooks will meet EPEAT and ENERGY STAR 8.0 standards this year.

“Our goal is to ultimately create a net-zero company that drives the transformation to a circular economy – with a responsible supply chain that creates shared value for each of us,” said Samson Hu, co-CEO of ASUS.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED: The most powerful Zenbook yet

The new Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602BZ) marks the most powerful model in the series to date and relies on a unique Intel processor with the latest ASUS Supernova System-on-Module (SoM) design.

Thanks to module packaging technology, the motherboard’s core area is reduced by a full 38 percent, which is said to noticeably improve cooling efficiency. This leaves more room for the GPU power components, resulting in higher TDP values.

The case of the notebook is CNC-milled. It also uses a liquid metal thermal paste that can lower the temperature by a full 7°C in high-performance mode and enable a total TDP of up to 155 W.

For demanding rendering tasks and video editing, the Zenbook Pro16X OLED features the ultra-compact ASUS Supernova SoM, which combined with the 13th generation Intel Core i9-13905H processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series laptop GPU, and 32GB of LPDDR5X DRAM, provides more than enough performance.

The Zenbook Pro 16X OLED features a 3.2K 120Hz OLED HDR NanoEdge touchscreen in 16:10 aspect ratio. The Active Aerodynamic System Ultra (AAS-Ultra) mechanism raises the tilting keyboard to a comfortable typing angle, ensuring improved system cooling – for maximum performance.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED and Zenbook 14X OLED

Also showing off new features are the ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED and Zenbook 14X OLED notebooks. The Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (UX6404) combines top-notch performance and graphics, surprising innovations, and an 18mm thin chassis that expands the possibilities for creatives on the go.

The highest trim level comes with an all-new, state-of-the-art 2.8K 120Hz OLED NanoEdge Dolby Vision display that delivers rich detail, smooth motion, and vibrant color. It’s also Pantone-validated for high color accuracy and has a 100 percent cinema-quality DCI-P3 color gamut.

Combine all that with a 13th-generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor and studio-grade NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, another slot for up to 32GB of SO-DIMM, and a 2TB SSD.

The Zenbook 14X OLED (UX3404) has a thin and light case and is available in two colors: Sandstone Beige and Inkwell Gray. On the Sandstone Beige version, the lid is made of a new eco-friendly PEO (Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation) coating that creates a ceramic-like surface and a unique stone-like feel, greatly minimizing fingerprints.

Otherwise, there’s also modern technology here in the form of the 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor, a studio-grade NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, 32 GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

For the display, the notebook relies on a 14.5-inch 2.8K OLED HDR NanoEdge display with 120 Hz. For enduring operation, it includes a 70Wh battery.
