As a Vodafone customer, you will inevitably come into contact with the Secure Net virus protection, because it is activated automatically after signing a Vodafone cell phone contract. However, the tricky part is that you have to pay for Vodafone Secure Net after a free trial period. We explain what costs you will incur and how you can cancel Vodafone Secure Net.

What does Vodafone Secure Net cost?

Vodafone Secure Net is an all-in-one online protection service that protects your phone from viruses, malware and other harmful content. The cost of the security service depends on your contract.

Secure Net is free on the GigaMobil XL, GigaMobil Young XL, Red XL-XXL, Black and Young XL plans. If you have a Red+ Kids card, the service is free for the main card and for the kids card.

The situation is different for the GigaMobil (XS-L), GigaMobil Young (S-L+), Red (S-L), Smart (S-L), Easy (S, M) and Data Go (S-L) rates. You can test these for 3 months free of charge, then a monthly fee of 0.99 euros is due.

Before the end of the free trial period, you will be notified with an SMS. So you still have time to cancel if you no longer need the service.

Note: Vodafone Secure Net is automatically activated when you sign up for the tariff. So there is no way to decline the virus protection in advance.

Cancel Vodafone Secure Net

Secure Net is bound to no minimum term as soon as it becomes chargeable. So you can cancel it at any time to the next month. The following step-by-step instructions explain how to do this:

1. Visit the SecureNet dashboard and log in with your customer data
2. Click on the icon in the top right corner.
3. Select “How can I cancel?”
4. There you can cancel Vodafone Secure Net.
