E-Scooter: IO HAWK ventures into the premium class with Legend Lite

The road-legal E-Scooter Legend was a complete success for manufacturer IO HAWK. Now they present the Legend Lite, a quasi-successor that aims to score points with adjustable front and rear suspension, recuperation and a powerful battery.

IO HAWK Legend Lite – Lightweight and powerful

With the IO HAWK Legend Lite, the manufacturer ventures into the premium class of e-scooters. Like the Legend, the new model has been developed in collaboration with Kaboo and relies on a unique suspension system that is designed to score points both on and off road.

Motor power is a whopping 500 watts as well as 10.4 amp-hours, which should allow for a range of up to 50 kilometers. A 13 amp battery is to follow at the end of August, increasing the range to 63 kilometers. According to the manufacturer, the battery is fully charged again in three to four hours; with the help of a fast charger, the charging time is reduced by half.

Recuperation charges the batteries when going downhill, braking or coasting. Both e-scooters are available in red, black and blue.

Top speed and exciting features

It reaches speeds of 9 km/h, 14 km/h and 20 km/h in three different modes, and a booster kit is also available as an option, which accelerates the e-scooter up to 30 km/h. However, this may only be used on private property or abroad.

In addition to the speed, numerous settings can be made on the integrated display to enable an individual driving experience, for example the acceleration method (kick start), automatic shutdown when not in use or regenerative braking. Both devices feature a color display with an integrated USB port to conveniently charge a smartphone, tablet or powerbank on the go.

Good grip on the Legend Lite is provided by the standard 10-inch off-road tires, while a 60-lux front light, a bell on the handlebars and a brake light ensure the necessary safety on the road. The e-scooter folds, stows and transports with ease.

The IO HAWK Legend Lite is available now at an MSRP of €879.00 from the manufacturer’s online store. Big brother Legend starts at €1,449.
