AOC C27G1 Curved Gaming Monitor Review

Image Quality

Appearance is not everything, of course, the image quality must also be right. With its VA panel, the AOC C27G1’s picture isn’t as colourful as with an IPS panel, of course, but it’s still worth seeing. For all Full HD gamers, however, the frame rate of up to 144 Hz is the most important feature. So every shot sits in heated battles or there are no streaks in fast picture movements like e.g. in car races. The curvature of the display provides better immersion. In addition, AMD Freesync helps to achieve a smooth display experience. The flicker-free technology reduces eye strain. The 178° vertical and horizontal viewing angle stability required for a curved display is excellent.

In summary, the AOC C27G1 gaming monitor is a good complete package for all gamers who need a lot of FPS. Of course Freesync is a welcome plus. Its 27 inches and the curved design make it the right all-rounder. In the test we were satisfied with almost all characteristics. Only the LED backlight could be more even.

For a price of € 239.90 you get a good all-rounder. But whether a full HD resolution is still enough for you nowadays, everyone has to answer that for themselves. Anyone who answers this question with “Yes” can access this monitor with confidence.
